midiGATEs - midi probability is an Audio Unit v3 MIDI Effect and CoreMIDI capable app designed to add a touch of randomness to incoming notes, creating a unique and sparse musical experience. With four distinct modes, including Gate, Note, Sequencer, and Thru, users can customize the level of muting based on various parameters.
In Gate Mode, users can set a percentage to mute notes, with additional options for Gate On Repeats and Gate Off Repeats to add complexity. Note Mode allows for individual notes to have their own muting probabilities, while Sequencer Mode offers a different muting percentage every eight notes. Thru Mode, although rarely used, allows for unaltered note transmission.
